Dr. Lunt offers two different types of sedation dentistry:
• Oral Conscious Sedation
• Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Oral Conscious Sedation
If Oral Conscious Sedation is right for you, Dr. Lunt will prescribe the appropriate medication in a pill form that you will take in his office before your treatment. Most oral sedation dentistry patients nap through their visit and leave feeling relaxed, healthy, and well cared for.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous Oxide Sedation involves conscious inhalation sedation, nitrous oxide gas (also known as laughing gas) used to induce a state of relaxation. A local anesthetic will be administered in combination with nitrous oxide sedation to eliminate pain. Patients who undergo nitrous oxide sedation often fall asleep and experience some degree of amnesia about what happened during their appointment.
During your visit Dr. Lunt and his team make sure you are relaxed and resting comfortably.
